Avec ses 56 000 pieds carrés, le bâtiment établit un lien vital entre l'université et le quartier et la ville. La façade vitrée au rez-de-chaussée ouvre le bâtiment au public et l'auditorium est exprimé par finition en béton préfabriqué au nombre de 186 ainsi que 490 soffites en GFRC. Panneaux de soffite en GFRC et béton hydraulique devaient être parfaitement assortis: comme les deux matériaux ne réagissent pas de la même manière à un lavage acide, les pigments du mélange de béton ont dû être modifiés. Le plus grand défi a été la conception d'un système de fixation spécial permettant l'installation continue et sans entrave des panneaux de soffite en béton préfabriqué.

With 56 000 square feet, the building establishes a vital connection for the University to both neighborhood and the city. The glazed façade at the ground floor opens the building to the public and the auditorium is expressed with a prefabricated concrete skin, numbering 186 precast concrete and 490 GFRC soffits. The GFRC soffit panels needed to perfectly match hydraulic concrete. Since the two materials do not react equally to an acid wash, it was necessary to modify the concrete mix pigments for the soffit panels. The biggest challenge was the design of a special fastening system that would allow the continuous and unobstructed installation of the prefabricated concrete soffit panels.
