Il y a eu dans ce projet le souci de préserver les bâtiments existants lors de la conception:  fenêtres à claire-voie encadrées d'éléments en béton préfabriqué, porte d'entrée tournante à l'intérieur du cylindre à deux étages de la façade, détails du style de pierre de type "brownstone qu'on retrouve dans le voisinage.

There has been appreciation for preservation in the design of the new addition. The clerestory windows framed in precast concrete components, and the revolving entrance door, within the two-story cylinder of the façade is suggestive of the articulated corner detailing of the local brownstone style, and the residential character prevalent in the neighborhood.
