Dans ce projet à vocation municipale, le béton préfabriqué architectural a été utilisé pour la fabrication de mobilier urbain. Au centre des deux nouveaux carrefours giratoires, deux immenses anneaux volent la vedette grâce à leur design original rappelant l’architecture du stade olympique.

Chaque anneau pèse 33 000 livres et mesure 8 mètres sur 4 mètres, formant ainsi une ellipse. En usine, ces deux anneaux ont exigé des coffrages imposants, capables de résister à la poussée hydraulique de cette masse de béton.

In this municipal project, architectural precast concrete was used to manufacture street furniture. At the center of the two new traffic circles, two huge rings steal the show with their original design reminiscent of the Olympic stadium architecture.

Each ring weighs 33,000 pounds and measures 8 meters by 4 meters, forming an ellipse. In the factory, these two rings required imposing forms capable of resisting the hydraulic thrust of this mass of concrete.
